Want to volunteer to help Recycle Your Bicycle for a Kid in Foster Care? We would love to have you!
2020 will be like no other in the 10 year history of RYB. With Covid-19 making it challenging for us to gather for long periods of time, our program will be different this year! It has to be different because we need to take great care of our volunteers! We will do that by only giving away new bikes this year and there will be no collecting and refurbishing of bikes.
We will need support in building new bikes to give away this year. There are a few ways you can help.
1. Spread the word about RYB. Since we have to buy new bikes this year, our fundraising is more challenging than ever as well. If you can, share this web site with your friends, neighbors and family members and perhaps they can help buy a bike for a kid (click here). Or please share with your company charity arm and ask them to help this year. Or if you have other contacts that can help, please tell them about RYB.
2. At some point we have to build all these bikes and perhaps you can help there! We are not sure how we will do that this year, but click the volunteer button and we will get you on the list and tell you more once we know how that will work. Groups are welcome to participate in this as well!
If you have questions, please reach out to Diane Low, our Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com or 602-705-5703.
To those of you who have volunteered with RYB in the past, thank you. We are sorry that we cannot gather again this year and hope you can help in a new way and who knows ... maybe we can return in full force in 2021!
Of course, if you also want to support RYB with the Arizona Foster Care Charitable Organization Tax Credit, there is more information here.
